Hi girls and Co,
We had an amazing whirlwind 36 hours in Paris, a city that never sleeps! We were located in the Latin quarter, beside the Seine River directly across from Notre Dame Cathedral, in a quaint old hotel. Deb had organised two city tours for her 50th birthday on Sunday, one by day and one by night which were a great way to see Paris quickly - we visited the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame, The Louvre, Arc de Triomphe to name a few, we also enjoyed an evening Seine River cruise.
Monday morning we trained to Zurich in Switzerland where we had a three hour stop which gave us a chance to explore the old city centre. The train trip from Zurich to Milan in the afternoon was spectacular going up around Lake Zurich across the alps past Lake Lugano into Italy!
In Milan we caught up with Debs relative for dinner and on Tuesday we spent most of the day walking - window shopping the designer stores and visiting the main historic sites like the Duomo (Milan's main cathedral) and the gardens. We then caught the train late afternoon to Venice!
